A chocolate cake mixed with creamy ricotta and a wicked pudding topping -whats not to love about this super-easy dessert?
The ingredient of Italian Love Cake
- 535g packet rich chocolate cake see notes
- 4 eggs
- 1 4 cup vegetable oil
- 375g tub smooth ricotta
- 1 2 cup caster sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 100g packet chocolate dessert mix
- 1 2 cup milk
- 300ml thickened cream
- dutch processed cocoa for dusting
The Instruction of italian love cake
- preheat oven to 180c 160c fan forced grease a 5cm deep 16cm x 21cm base and 21cm x 26 5cm top baking dish
- whisk cake mix 2 eggs 3 4 cup water and oil in a bowl for 1 minute or until combined pour mixture into prepared dish
- whisk ricotta remaining eggs sugar and vanilla in a separate bowl spoon over the centre of cake batter leaving a 1cm border see notes bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes or until cake is just firm to touch cool for 2 hours
- whisk chocolate dessert mix with milk and cream for 10 seconds or until just starting to thicken see notes working very quickly dollop chocolate mixture over top of cake and swirl dust with cocoa serve
